The Gram Gaurav Sansthan works by strengthening the traditional practices and nurtures two layers of village institutions in every prospective villages. It mobilises the village community to form associations of all those who are willing to participate and create community driven solutions. The two such institutions are Gram Sangathan and Gram Samiti.
Gram Sangathan is the primary decision-making body which approves the village plan and regulates the contribution norms. Whereas a ‘Gram Samiti’ is the elected execution arm which operates the Gram Sangathan. It undertakes the execution work and mobilizing of community resources.
